Back to school season is here! I’ve been seeing our mommy queens post their babies going back to school and our university queens posting all of their back-to-school pictures so this week we’re doing 5 fall essentials for back-to-school season.
- Whether you’re heading into school or starting that new career one thing that you need is a bag. If you are back in school you definitely want to grab a cute backpack or oversized bag. No one wants to walk around holding their laptops, books, and journals. So make sure you have a bag that can hold all of your things. Speaking of journals taking notes is such an important part of not only your college career but your career career too. Taking good notes in the classroom is definitely a transferable skill and while typing them out on the computer is faster research shows that actually writing things down helps to commit them to memory. - Back to school always reminds me that fall is around the corner so it’s time to stock up on those jackets. One of this years biggest style trends is the over sized blazer. Pair it with matching pants or skirt to create a power statement in the office or if it’s oversized enough pair it with a belt and wear it as a dress. - Nothing says back to school like a new pair of shoes. Time to trade in the sandals for boots. Now there are hundreds of styles of boots but my top 3 favorites are the military combat boot style, low cut booties, and platform boots. With the thigh high boots as honorable mentions when they come in plus size thigh sizes that is. Hit up your favorite shoe boutique to stock up on these classic fall styles my person fave is J.S. 5. Fall is the season of kickbacks and house parties and those outfits are definitely not the same as club outfits. So it’s time to upgrade that club dress to a house party set that screams chill and educated. We love sets because they’re easy to mix and match after you wear them together so that you can party every week without feeling like you’re always wearing the same outfit.
